Tournament play to start Saturday morning!
Tournament play will start Saturday morning for the 2nd annual BC Pond Hockey Championships at Invermere on the Lake. The rinks will be available for a Team free skate Friday evening, as well, teams will be required to check in at Tournament registration to drop off waivers, rosters and pick up player bags.

 BC Pond Hockey Series
2013 Pond Hockey divisions:
Men's & Women's Recreational, Competitive and an Open division to choose from. All players must be 19 & over. Mixed Open Division - teams must have 3 male and 3 female players, and 2 female players must be on the ice at all times. Mandatory equipment - skates, stick , athletic support, and helmet Recommended equipment - elbow pads, shin pads, gloves, pants General rules - no icing, off-sides, goalies, majority of standard hockey rules apply, penalties given count as a goal for the other team. The BC Pond Hockey series is all about having fun! Playing hockey on backyard rinks, frozen ponds and lakes is how most of us started playing Canada's game. The BC Pond Hockey series continues this tradition with a focus on creating fresh air venues and fun outdoor tournaments that remind us of why we started playing in the first place- for the pure joy of the game!
