I just got back from a 45 minute skate on one of the main sheets for the event.  Not sure if the turkey and egg nog moved anywhere but I certainly did. The ice is light years ahead of last year and is only going to get better!

Well folks, it looks like Mother nature has really cooperated this year! This cold weather has prompted an early start for our ice making crew and it would appear we will be strapping the blades on and skating on our first 2 rinks as of Dec 12th! This will allow us to really tune up the ice for the 2010 Western Regional Pond Hockey Championships and enable the community to get outside and glide 3 weeks ahead of schedule. A huge thanks goes out to Raymond Von for his superb ice making skills!
